Pilot cancels Rochester flight after flight attendants fightROCHESTER, N.Y., Feb. 27 (UPI) -- Passengers on a Pinnacle Airlines flight from Rochester, N.Y., to Atlanta said the plane was grounded due to a fight between flight attendants. Steve Mazur, a passenger on the Delta connection, said the flight was canceled after two female flight attendants "got into a fistfight on the plane. The pilot decided to kick everyone off the plane," the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Friday. "They told us we had to get off the plane because stewardesses were fighting," fellow passenger Corey Minton told news Web site YNN Rochester. Joe Williams, a spokesman for Memphis-based Pinnacle Airlines, said the flight attendants will not be allowed to return to work until the completion of an investigation into the incident. "The acts described are not acceptable," he said. Williams said the passengers on the canceled flight were given alternate travel arrangements. uticadailynews.com/daily_buzz/11494-Pilot-cancels-Rochester-flight-after-flight-attendants-fight.htmlThat's all we need, the flight crew brawling in the aisles! Guess there was no Air Marshal on that flight.

Geez, maybe they were fighting over a male flight attendant. ;D On my recent flights these last few years I've seen more male attendants then females. After reading this it might not be such a good idea to combine the two.

Dave, do you think maybe it's the guys that start the sh*t flying between the women? Remember the astronauts incident. ;D Unfair question to ask a former bartender since most of my customers were men and seeing their actions first hand, I use to tell them they were far worse then women in many areas.

Some of the male flight attendants that I have encountered, were only discernable by their uniforms. Hard to tell which gender a couple of them were. I doubt that they would be fighting over a woman, nor a woman be fighting over them.

My sister and I were willing to lift up our fist for that hunk. ;D

The last freeby flight to Atlantic City from Syracuse that I took before we moved down here should have been on a lavender or pink aircraft. I had some gay dude telling me that I should visit their "hospitality suite" and bring my "friend" with me. My "friend" was a fellow truck driver from the last job I had before I retired. He laughed for days about the invitation that we got on our AC trip. We had a flight attendant on that flight that was a male with makeup and dyed hair. Yep, he would have done well on the lavender plane.

Hahahahaha! And it wasn't as if you could get off and wait for the next bus. Makes me happy I don't fly anymore!

Boy, me too! I used to fly quite often on business when I worked for the Air Force, and it was a big enough pain in the butt then. I can't imagine having to do the security checkpoints and early check in on a regular basis. Necessary, but definitely frustrating and time consuming. I am glad I am retired and need not go anywhere I can't drive to, haha.
I get offers every week from casinos in Tunica, Las Vegas, and New Orleans, and there is just no damned way that they would ever get me to take another chartered flight. Number one, those flights are "free" but when you finish the "complimentary" weekend, you need to have spent a minimum amount gambling, or you are not "invited" to participate again. Some Vegas trips require as much as a couple of grand to be spent or you can be charged in the small print for your flight and accomodations.
Number two, Brucey the flight attendant and the lavender flight just aren't on my list of pleasant methods of travel. I don't give a damn about anyone's sexual orientation, but I guess I am a homophobe when it comes to being forced to interact with a blatantly gender bending individual in the conducting of my daily business.

Geez Clipper and Dave, don't know what horror stories you are listening to but I didn't have a problem with flying at all on my last two trips and we even had to go through customs both times. No problems with security or having to arrive way before our flights. No long lines or waits at any of the airports. At customs the line looked long but went very fast. The only thing I worry about is the weather if I'm flying in the winter but even on my recent flight the day after the big snow storm in Pittsburg, who got hit the hardest, our flight took off on time. They simply de-iced the plane which took about 15 minutes and off we went. No bad experiences for this gal in my years of flying. As far as the flight attendants I don't care what sexual preference they have as long as they bring my drinks right away. Sure as hell would never stop me from flying. ;D

CB, personally I think they're making a mountain out of a mole hill on this one. It's not like the kid was left alone and making his own calls. He was repeating what his Dad told him to say and from what I heard, he did do a damn good job. Wouldn't want it to become a habit but really don't find it to be that outrageous. Have to admit, if I had my son at work with me in that situation, I can see me doing the same thing with my son.

I've never been an aircraft controller but everything I've ever heard or read is that it requires complete concentration all the time. Numerous accidents and near misses have been attributed to inattention on the part of a controller or pilot.
While it may be cute to have a kid on your lap while directing traffic & feeding him lines to relay to a pilot, how can that not distract from the attention needed for the traffic & all the other things happening?
