By the way, I am not stating this as a fact, but I've heard just this morning that Utica is only held to keep the quota expected in the UPD to only one year after the COPS grant is completed. I'm sure I'll find that out for sure at tomorrow's public meeting.

Didn't want to wait till the meeting so I called three council people to get the right info now. Yes, the COPS grant was revised from the original offer made to Utica and Utica would have to fund only one year of the quota at the UPD if the grant is accepted.

It's your choice, bobbbiez, whether to accept my apology. I can't help but laugh at the attempt to publicly scold me when I already acknowledged my poor judgement and remedied the issue. But if beating a dead horse makes you happy, by all means, keep it up. Just know that it's not affecting me in any way. It's kind of sad that you apparently ignored my post with the links I posted on the COPS website. Why rely on three councilmen when you have links to the source?

Swimmy, I've only exercised my right to express my feelings after you attempted to belittle me as I see you insist on continuing. Others had the opportunity to express their feelings after reading your original post and I feel I have the same right.

It wasn't an "attempt" to scold you it was my purpose to do just that and I accomplished what I felt I needed to say to you. End of story.
At this point after reading your latest post to me and still reading the open sarcasm in your writing I don't believe your apology was ever sincere. But, that's okay because I said what I felt had to be said in my previous post and no need to beat the dead horse you keep putting in front of me. So counselor, the floor is all yours on this subject. I have rested my case and feel no need to respond to you any further on this matter.

As far as the grant. I did not ignore the website you posted. I do know things have changed since the grant was first offered to Utica and felt I'd like to hear what some of our council people felt about the changes. Plus, there were other issues I also discussed with them that will be coming up at our next Neighborhood group meeting this coming Wednesday (for those who are interested the meeting will be at 6pm at Holy Trinity School.)
Forgive me, Swimmy, for not following your orders and for wanting to listen to our council people's opinions since they will be the ones voting on the grant.
