Be careful Sunshine. If your hair is down to your dupa, it is not far from the ground, considering how close to the ground the good lord put your dupa! LOL Don't step on it.

Now Clipper, never had a problem being short. Actually, I always saw it as having a huge advantage.....................this way when the "bigger they are, the harder they fall" guys (kind of like you) did fall, I was right there to enjoy the splat. ;D

The OD finally printed my letter. Hell, why didn't they just wait until Christmas day so I'd look like a complete heretic?

Draw the curtains and peep out the window from time to time. Are there any dudes out there with torches and a bag of feathers?
Don't mistake them for visiting relatives or conservative campaigners.
Come to think of it ......

Very good Stoney. I would not consider that letter to be dripping with heresy. Differing opinions are what makes the world go around. Religious freedom is one of the freedoms we enjoy under out constitution, as is freedom of speech.
In my estimation heresy is but the challenging of belief by a layperson. A challenge to doctrine or teachings of a religious group or a church's governing body. Nothing heretical about challenging those religious beliefs by a person that is NOT governed in some way by that particular group.
As a person that does believe in "God" as I see him, I think that my God gave me the power of reason. That power gives me an inquisitive mind, and a desire to know where theories come from, and upon what they are based.
The constitutional right to freedoms listed previously acquits you of any heresy under any law of the land. Unless you ARE a member of a church or religious group, heresy does not exist, so only YOU know if you are a heretic or not, haha.
You should read our daily paper for a week or so. Living in the predominately Baptist Southeast, our paper is rife with religious editorials on a daily basis. I simply read "around them". My neighbors have an enviable faith in God, and it brings them peace and harmony. The people here are wonderful. They tend, in their enthusiasm, to invite everyone to enjoy the happiness they find in their church families. It may quite well influence government here to a certain extent, but the ACLU stays on top of that, haha. I simply tell them politely that I don't care to go to their church, but thank you for the invitation.
Iin my opinion, the ten commandments issue is BS. If they are in the courthouse fine. If anyone is jealous or feels left out, put a Buddha on the front steps also. People taking a break can sit on his knee and eat their lunch. The ten commandments without the thee's and thou's and references to a specific God, are simply rules that we all should live by anyhow. Don't take them out of the public eye. Simply edit the "God stuff" out and call them rules for living instead of commandments.
While religion doesn't belong in government, I think that it would be found to be true, that those that believe in one supreme being or another, DO comprise a majority. Just the name is different, and Jesus Christ is NOT mentioned in the 10 commandments.
In my personal opinion, the ACLU is simply one more group with their own agenda, trying to stifle the agenda of one group in favor of promoting an agenda of their own. There are cases and situations where their power is needed and is beneficial to a person that is being tried unfairly in a court of law, or is being discriminated against personally, and persecuted. When a life or an individual is involved, they have saved lives and held government to a standard of treatment. In MY opinion, there are many more important things to fight, than the battle to remove plaques and tablets that have been on courthouse walls for years.

Don't worry about that group with torches and a noose. That is just Bobbbiez and her buddies, on her way to bust a crackhouse in West Utica.
