Could someone please help me out with some info regarding the various Neighborhood Watch programs throughout the city? What I'm looking for specifically are dates, times and locations of meetings.
Any resource or direction would be appreciated. Thanks.

Most likely Bobbbiez or Larry Tanoury Jr would be able to help you with that info. Bobbbiez is very active in that sort of thing.

Rod, All the "neighborhood watch" programs in Utica are "hosted" by the NeighborWorks HomeOwnership Center/UNHS under the guise of the "Association of Block Coalitions". www.unhs.org/community_empowerment/block_associations.htmlTheir monthly meeting schedule can be found at the bottom of the linked page. These are not true "neighborhood watch" groups as advertised, but monthly bitch sessions where you will find about 5% of the residents doing something besides complaining.....I should know, I used to facilitate them! Bobbbiez is one of the few that actually does something!!! ;D

Thank you both. Ralph, great link.
I thought I had read about Bobbiez's involvement. Bobbiez, we could use your help and expertise. Revitalize Utica is a new grassroots group looking at doing what the name implies. The group is looking for volunteers in a variety of capacities. One important role that's been discussed is a "liaison" for such groups.
"Bridging together Republicans, Democrats, Independent parties to work together for the common good of Utica."
I think this is the start of a great and active group. Non-partisan, open and willing to address the issues and come up with solutions.
And Ralph as well as anyone else who'd like to help, we could use your knowledge and experience.

Sorry Ralph. Brain fart! My bad. I should have known you would be aware of anything such as that and where to join up.

Rod, Though I have stayed out of the "public forum" so to speak for the past several years, I have much knowledge and expertise as well as tools that may be of use to you and your group.
Keep in mind that I was the Community Coordinator for that agency before taking on the job of Weed & Seed Coordinator. I have been trained by both the NRC and DOJ, so I have a lot of "stuff" that might help you in your endeavors.
If you ever want to sit down and talk let me know.

It might be the shadow of his ponytail, haha. Hey, I just came up with a great idea. Have Betty pull that ponytail really really tight, until your eyes are drawn into a squint, and then braid it. Then you can open a chinese buffet or start selling wontons at DD, one or the other.

Oh maaaaan, you're right Clipper. PONYtail. And I'm asking if the guy if he's got a pigtail. Sorry Ralph. I grew up in the 80's. If there's one thing I should know about it's hair.

Do ya think I could BUY a ponytail, and hang it from that bare spot on the back of my head with velcro??? Wontons are my favorite too. I cheat though. I put them in the egg drop soup rather than in the plain broth. I also like the ones that are stuffed with cheese, but pork dumplings are my favorite. Now there is a neighborhood watch program that I could get into. A group that watched the neighborhood while sitting on the porch with chinese takeout, haha.
