www.wthr.com/Global/story.asp?S=10431624&nav=menu188_2I would ask a prayer for Ashton. While I did not know her myself, she was a good friend of one of the members of the parrot board I Admin for. Before she deployed to Afghanistan she had searched for someone to foster her small 5+ year old handicapped parakeet for the length of her deployment, or until Arnie passed. Arnie was handicapped from birth, and although able to function physically, had numerous mental problems which affected his physical well being. Ashton had chosen one of the members of our board ( there are only 26 of us across the country as well as England and Sweden) to foster Arnie. Sadly Arnie passed over Rainbow Bridge this past December. Ashton gave her life in service of our country, but planned on becoming a Veterinarian upon leaving the military. She was due to come home in July of this year. God speed Airman Goodman.............

My prayers will be offered up for Airman Ashton Goodman and my deepest sympathy goes out to her family and friends. Airman Goodman along with her many other fallen comrades have my deepest gratitude for all they have sacrificed and given to keep us all safe. God Bless All.

May everyone's thoughts and prayers be with the family, and the sad reminder that while we are safe at home, there are young American's putting their lives at risk in lands far away in the name of freedom.
I thank them all for their sacrifice, and a special thanks today for Ashton Goodman, who has made the supreme sacrifice that a soldier can make. May she rest in peace.
