Deerfield man gets probation for threatening Governor Paterson

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Deerfield man has avoided jail time for a hate crime against Governor Paterson.

Timothy Day pleaded guilty in April to aggravated harassment in the second degree as a hate crime. He left a message on Assemblywoman Roann Destito's answering machine, threatening the governor's life if he ever were to come to the area. The message included racial slurs as well.

Friday at Day's sentencing, the judge asked him what he learned from this experience. Day simply said he'd made a mistake and that he wouldn't do it again. The judge asked if Day was upset about losing his business, to which Day replied, "yes."

Oneida County Court Judge Michael Dwyer sentenced Day to five years probation.

Has anyone ever seen a transcript of exactly what Day said?I'm wondering how egregious were his remarks.

Cabooses are being replaced with FREDs (Flashing Rear End Device). Not a pretty sight on some of us.

I thought I saw a heavy set woman with one of those devices the other day, but it turned out to be nothing more than a large woman on a small motorcycle, and she kept flashing the brake lights. I mean like she had a scooter caught in her pooter, hahaha!

A FRED would damn sure not be very pretty on my fat ass either.
