Strikeslip has an article posted on Faultlines concerning the "sewer credit" concept, and the downside as it effects the average Onieda County taxpayer. It all seems to me to be just one more way for Earle Reed and company to line THEIR pockets, and the pockets of their developer friends at taxpayer expense. Where and when will it stop? It is always about New Hartford, and what is good for those pocketing the money in NH. Never about what is good for the county, or the people downstream on the sewer system from NH. I guess I may think a little too practically, but my answer to the sewage problems and any increase in volume, would be to simply STOP any further development and just plain NOT ALLOW ANY MORE HOOKUPS UNTIL THE PROBLEM IS RESOLVED. Period! If NH wants to continue to develop and expand, it should be at their expense, not the county taxpayer. Maybe they need to have their own damn sewer plant, and then they can hook up as many tax deferred businesses as they like without it costing the average homeowner in other parts of Oneida County to give the incentives to the chosen few. Check it out at strikeslip.blogspot.com

Clipper, I read the blog but I'm not following how this lines Reed's pocket. What did I miss?

It will roll down on the taxpayer and the further development will surely line Reed and Company's pockets with developer dollars, or in kind favors.
I may be reading it wrong, but that is what I understand in the difference between the Waltham sewer credits program and the NH program.
