Brittanee Drexel missingI'm sad to see that this girl is missing. But it is hard for me to have any sympathy for her mother! She just said on Fox News that she did not want her daughter to go on this spring break, but she let her go anyway! This is a classic example of failed parenting. I think it is disgraceful that a parent would not put her foot down and say NO! In any case, what the hell is a high school teeny bopper doing on a spring break?! That's a classic COLLEGE gig. Why the hell are parents allowing high school kids to do similar things?! Stop allowing teens to act like they're college age, this is what happens when you do. But I do hope this girl is ok. I do have a heart and hope that she is found soon and unharmed. I just have a hard time feeling sorry for her mother.

Swimmy..........sad indeed. Since she is from here the story is broadcast on every news break with an update. I hope they find her safe also. It's hard being a single parent these days. It starts young and if you don't and aren't consistant in the upbringing of your child then you reap what you sow. I see young kids today totally out of control in public places. It's up to the parent to not let that happen. The child will always test the parent to see just how far they can go.

That's why none of my kids were never allowed to go on a spring break. I vacationed in many favorite spring break spots and saw how the kids acted. There is no way my kids would be there or now do I ever plan a vacation during spring break. My prayers do go out to the Mom and for her daughter to be found alive and well (then I would wipe the floor with her. )

Not to judge the mother, but I see many parents try to exert control too late. You can't just start exerting control of a son or daughter in high school. Never works. It has to start early.
