The UDN page is reporting that the "former" fiance of Phillip Markoff has called off the wedding planned for August, and feels it necessary to move on with her life.
Whether he is found guilty or not, I think she is making a wise move. I don't think that she would be comfortable honeymooning in a hotel with a person who has been accused of committing robberies, a murder, and sex crimes in a hotel setting. I think it would take the sparkle off the occasion.
Aside from all other reasons for cancellation, I really don't think that Markoff is going to be available for a tux fitting for a while, and a jump suit would not be very stylish for a formal wedding.
What a shame for a young man with the intelligence to make it to medical school, to allegedly have gone so far astray. Very sad for everyone involved.
