The NH town board spent 45 minutes in"Executive Session" discussing the ominous topic of "investigation or prosecution of a potential criminal offense and matters which imperil public safety.” During the session, laughter could be heard at one point coming from within. Do our brave town board members laugh in the face of danger? Should the good citizens of NH sleep soundly at night with an unkown matter that imperils public safety is about? www.uticaod.com/news/x297235118/N-Hartford-board-discusses-safety-in-closed-door-meeting

Actually, I'm thinking of leaving the Republican Party. Its unbelievable that government officials would use their power and influence to intimate dissenters and critics.

Vote Freedom! Vote Libertarian!
lioneljoe, there's really no need to change your voter registration. I signed up as a Republican when I first registered to vote on my 18th birthday. I "left" the Republican party some time in the mid-80s while Ronald Reagan was still President.
I never changed my registration because I wanted to be able to still vote in primary elections. But I haven't given the Republicans one damned nickel in all these years and I haven't voted for a Republican for president since Reagan.
I joined the Libertarian Party for a while but haven't sent them any dues in a while. That's why I call myself a Little-L libertarian.
Your mileage may vary.

I did the same thing Frank. I always remained a registered republican when our congressman was republican and served on the committees that were favorable to Griffiss AFB and my employment.
I have always voted a spit ticket and never have paid much attention to party lines. Here in Tn I still remain republican for the same reason you do, so that I can vote in primary elections.
I guess I would consider changing my party affiliation simply as political statement moreso than an actual change in the way I view issues, or vote. Just never seemed to be an issue of concern to me.
