That is the dumbest statement I have ever read. I wouldn't be surprised if that person was puffing on a cigarette and riding in a gas guzzler car that also contributes to air pollution and does not help our planet. Looks like the war against fatties is on. I just heard there may be a charge for space on airplanes, or to use their toilets...what next. With the airplanes they have downsized the seats and space that even a skinny person may no longer get in their seats and then turn around and say they are going to charge extra for space. I feel bad for freequent fliers. Leave it to the UK to come up with a dumb story line. I don't know about the UK but I do know that in the USA they have cut back on recess and sports in schools. Yes it is unhealthy to be overweight but then quit advertising junk food.......excercise and eat healthy and get the heck out more instead of watching TV, playing video games or surfing the net.

Somebody better hurry up and eliminate Al Gore and his band of blowhards. He is a regular CO2 machine, between his fat ass, and his fleet of SUV's. Just to get rid of he and his minions alone would solve the problem of global warming. All that hot air combined with their CO2 emissions might forestall flooding for another 10 years, just by their elimination alone, haha.

Gotta love the title of the thread though. I will be eagerly awaiting someone who has the balls to step up and slap this fat person. They can damn sure expect a memorable "receipt".

I am a conservationist, and an environmentalist to a reasonable extent. I recycle, and conserve, and use "green" products when available, but I think it goes too far when we are spending taxpayer dollars researching cow farts and finding out that fat people contribute more to the CO2 problem. It doesn't take a frigging research scientist and a couple of million dollars to figure out that a fatter person is going to breathe deeper and expel more CO2 than a skinny assed scientist. Wake up and smell the coffee people. These scientists are more interested in feathering their intellectual nests and in publishing papers to bring them fame, than they are in saving the world. They are more interested in sucking a few more dollars out of YOUR pocket to finance the research that allows them to sit on a lab stool, and document the amount of methane a cow fart contributes to pollution. GET A JOB jerkoffs!

Maybe if we can simply eliminate China and India and their overly dense populations, we can solve the problem, and THAT doesn't need too much research to determine the positive effect that it would have on the problem. Trying to eliminate cows that fart, in a world without enough food already, makes about as much sense as eliminating an entire population or two in order to eliminate the needs and decrease the pollution factor doesn't it?
