New diplomatic crisis for US over Iran's jailing of Roxana Saberiwww.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/middle_east/article6126581.eceSorry, I'm not crying crocodile tears for this woman. While I feel her situation is unfortunate, and I can certainly feel for her family, I think anyone who puts themselves in danger by residing in a country led by terrorists and terrorist-supporting thugs has dug their own grave. Even as a plain old person born in Iran and having lived in the US, she would have been suspect by Iranian authorities. To go there as a reporter (and possibly to have drank alcohol and "flaunted" herself by not wearing a veil) is just asking for trouble ... or international celebrity. If she survives, she'll be famous. Quite a career gamble. She'll think herself a hero. To most citizens of the world, she's just another arrogant American. Meanwhile, other Americans may come under attack or into harm's way because of her foolish actions. Personally, I can't imagine standing in front of an Iranian firing squad trying to explain free speech.
