I almost let this day go by without acknowledging Officer Joe Corr's third anniversary in heaven. I don't ever want to forget or have others forget Officer Corr's life was taken viciously while he was protecting all of us. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Joe. Rest in peace. God bless you, your family, friends and brothers and sisters in blue. We remember.

On this day I ask everyone to remember, State Trooper Andrew Sperr, on his third anniversary in heaven who was killed in the line of duty by bank robbers during a traffic stop on March 1, 2006. Trooper Sperr was very involved in arranging and assisting in Officer Joe Carr's wake and funeral just a few days before being shot down himself. Thank you A.J. Rest in peace. We remember.

Prayers should go up every day for those in the law enforcement field. They are no different than our soldiers who protect our country from our enemies. They fight the battle against armed insurgents right in the streets of our hometowns. The insurgents are criminals and dope dealers that come to town to perpetrate their crimes against our citizens and our families and they are every bit as dangerous as the enemies being fought in the streets of Bagdhad.
May God bless all of our law enforcement officers, and watch over and protect those that still serve. I am sure he has a special place in heaven for those that have made the ultimate sacrifice in order to keep our children and families safe in the streets of our hometowns.
