I thought since we had a previous discussion concerning people in Utica not backing any hockey that those in doubt would like to view the story and video that is on WKTV titled, "No More Hockey? No problem for the Utica Aud." We in this area do and always have supported any hockey in this area. This story only concentrates on Utica College hockey but we also have MVCC, high schools, kids & adult leagues, benefits and tournament games held at the Utica Aud and all are very well attended. The lack of interest or attendances was never the issue for the Pro teams pulling out. My family were season ticket holders and never did we witness the lack of support by the fans in any way. It was more like the Pro team's managements screwing up royally. Not something they will admit truthfully. My family, including myself, even housed many players from these Pro teams who were not even given proper housing by their management during their games here. Can't give any more support then that. Hockey in this area is supported, loved and well attended and has been since I was a kid attending games with my family. Do we need the Pros to give us that enjoyment or to help support the Utica Aud? Hell no! We got the "finest" right here in our own area to enjoy and give our loyal support to. ;D
