 I watched some of little Caylee's memorial mass and maybe I'm too critical or am seeing more in the death of a beautiful little girl taken before her time but I have some questions that are really disturbing me. The fact that the tot's mom released a statement before the memorial stating her wishes were not being respected by her parents to not have a public memorial for her daughter, little Caylee, left me with some bad feelings about the whole thing. Could it possibly be the tot's mom and her parents together are scheming with their lawyers so they can prove the tot's mom can never receive a fair trial because of this national memorial? Can they prove by this that a unbiased jury can not be found and will it be used strongly for her defense? Why else would her parents, who are still standing behind her, go directly against her wishes for Caylee's funeral? Legally,the tot's mom, has the say in what happens to her daughter's remains. She gave them directions and they ignored all. Why would they do that? I'm sorry but this family has put themselves theatrically by their own actions in the public news constantly during and after little Caylee's disappearance. Why the national memorial when most would prefer a private time to grieve. Something is not right. Please allow me to voice another thing that has bothered me. Not taking the sadness away from little Caylee but can you tell me why her memorial mass was even boardcasted nationally? We all know how many children have been missing and found murdered. Why all this for one little girl when so many others before her were taken from their families by a family member in the same way? Thank God, during the two hour boardcasting about Caylee's memorial the news channel did manage to devote about one minute to squeeze in another Amber Alert for another little girl just missing. Am I wrong in thinking this way? I just don't understand why one child is more special then all the others. That is really upsetting me.

Why the national broadcast?
Because people watched it. They also watched the advertiser's commercials that were broadcast with it. That's a decison made by the networks not the family.
Follow the money.

Frankie, you are totally right as far as the reasons for the networks doing it, but they couldn't have done it without the families permission. The family also permitted only those they wanted at the memorial and had some banned for whatever reasons from entering the church and attending the memorial. A memorial mass is a private thing for any family and is controlled by the family. If this family did not want it boardcasted nationally then it would not have taken place.

I confess I haven't followed this story very closely -- about an hour of Nancy Grace (on the all Caylee, all day network) just about filled me up. But don't you suppose it's possible the family felt an obligation to all the thousands of people who helped search for Caylee or sent words of hope and prayers? Can you really lock them out and deny them an opportunity for some closure as well?

Pretty sure that isn't the reason since a lot of those people they banned from the memorial was many who started and did the searches at their own expense for little Caylee. It is so very tragic and sad, but this whole family has brought some many doubts into my mind about their actual involvement in what really happened to this precious little angel.

Frank, you endured a full hour of Nancy Grace? My estimation of your ability to keep from upchucking lunch has increased by an order of magnitude!
That fixed snide look makes me want to puke within 30 seconds of landing on her channel.

Yepper Dave, she is quite the annoying bitch. I do listen once in a while to her show, because if I can stomach her on that day, she does bring out "facts"about all cases that no one else does. She does have the b*lls to do that when no one else will and she doesn't take any sh*t from anyone.  I'm only interested in getting "just the facts" about any cases in the news. Kind of like Detective Joe Friday in the old Dragnet series. Gotta give old Nancy credit for doing just that. Can you imagine being in front of Nancy when she was a Judge? Bet not too many got off lightly or away with their crimes with her as their Judge.

Corner, sorry my mistake.  You are right and I stand corrected. Old Nancy was a DA. Either one, I still wouldn't want to go up against her in any court. She is one vicious bitch, but in her defense. If we had more DA's as strong as Nancy, not too many criminals would walk again with just a slap on their hands.

Did you ever notice how sometimes Nancy Grace mis-hears something one of her panelists says and then goes sarcastic-ballistic on them? It makes the show almost enjoyable for me. But as I try to better understand our pop culture and the way Americans feel about issues (because it's clear they don't think about them enough), watching Nancy Grace is quiite helpful.
