Lucy, I have suffered for years with allergies, sinus infections and many plain nasty colds that would turn into a really bad case of bronchitis. Finally my Doc prescribed, Zyrtec- D, and can honestly say I'm feeling better then I ever did in my 65 yrs. See if your Doc feels that will be good for you. Try it. It works great for me. ;D Hope you start feeling better real soon.

lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just love it! ;D Wish I had that sign about a month ago at a hockey game in Clinton when I got thrown out for simply saying, "make the calls ref." The sign would have been more sufficient and made my point clearly. Oops, I just realized I opened a big cans of worms. Long story made short......a very young inexperienced girl ref was the one who got out of hand at a game and was attacking the coaches and fans instead of concentrating on the plays in the game. No one was out of control in any way. The fans and coaches were just yelling the usual you hear at any hockey game and this ref went overboard on her authority. I am all for "no tolerance" at games but this was a ref taking advantage of her authority. She caused more problems then there actually was. I sent in a formal complaint on everyone's behalf and am still awaiting a reply concerning this incident.

The benedryl will make you thirsty and dry. It is an antihistamine. I have the same problem in winter from the dry heat. I quite often use a vaporizer with just water in it, to add extra humidity to the bedroom at night. With a heat pump it is hard to humidify the air at the source of heat.
Benedryl is a WONDERFUL sleeping pill. When my dad was in the nursing home, he used to nap in his chair during the day, and then he would not sleep at night. He used to ask the nurse for his "sleeping pill"at 9 PM every night. The doctor had ordered a good dose of benedryl for him, because it was much safer than any sleeping pills, LOL. He would sleep like a baby after his "sleeping pill".

Bobbbiez, I'm glad the NCAA doesn't use a no-tolerance rule for hockey games. That lady ref should be thankful she wasn't officiating at Lynah Rink in Ithaca. One crowd favorite that I recall were
"A rope. A tree. Hang the referee."
and the ever popular...
"I'm blind. I'm deaf. I wanna be a ref!"
You probably shouldn't return to the Clinton Arena with the pregnant sign.

Yeah, benedryl is some good sh*t but you better be careful taking it. Last month my little Phyllis was getting so hyper that she would start choking, so her Vet told me to give her a few drops of benedryl to calm her down. Well I did and boy was I a wreck after. As I was administrating the benedryl to her she jumped and I gave her just a touch too much. The poor little thing slept for the whole day and I thought I did her in. Took her to her Vets and he assured me she was just fine. Very nerve wrecking. It can work the same on humans so be cautious in how much you take and do not drive a vehicle after taking it.

I recently went to eye dr and I have to put these eye drops in my eyes for allergies, Opcon A. Generally when I get like this Benadryl helps but its not going away!!! I hate feeling worthless when I get home I'm on the couch pretty much asleep. Can you buy zyrtec over the counter? I know you can with the children Zyrtec buy it over the counter. Now bobbiez don't you have a small dog? My dog is 6 - 8lbs and I give her childrens benadryl. She has allergies. Everyone in my house has allergies!!!! My husband has been very lucky this year nothing has hit him yet.

Lucy, you can get Zyrtec over the counter but not Zyrtec D. My Doc gives me presriptions for it and my prescription coverage does pay for it to. The stuff works really great. Give it a try if it's ok with your Doc. I have been through almost every drug for allergies and etc and Zyrtec D is the only one that works for me. Yep, Phyllis only weighs about 4 lbs and needs the benedryl for her hyperness. I give her the children's without the dye in it. She does really good on it. That's if I don't screw up in giving it to her.

Well, after the UPD gave a hugh whooping 9-2 on the NYS Troopers last Thursday at the Aud, the team is now in Binghamton playing today and tomorrow in the Southern Tier Tournament. Which I must add the UPD has won two years in a row. Most don't know just how good these guys are. If any of you that missed last Thursdays game want to see them in action the UPD will be playing for the Championship in the Adult League here locally this Sunday at 7pm at the Whitestown Hockey arena. I for one will be taking my pain pills and plan on making the game. If I can't walk my family can wheel me. ;D GO UPD!!!!!!!!! Bring home the title from the Southern Tier tomorrow and continue the win in the Adult Championship Sunday. The OD did have some great pictures of last Thursdays game in Wednesdays sport section for all to see.

Ssshhhh Frank, I am whispering this so Sunshine doesn't hear, but do ya think we can figure out the dosage to just make Bobbbiez QUIET, lololol. We can tell RJ and he will get much peace when needed, and he can make her and the little doggie both take a nap at the same time, and he can watch TV and have a beer, and enjoy the alone time, hahahaha. Ssssshhhh. Don't tell Sunshine. She might tell Kathy and all of a sudden I might take a two week nap and wonder where the hell time went, ;)haha. Having Sunshine and Kathy communicating by land line is a VERY scary thing!

Sure Clipper, I can be quiet. I'll just give Kathy a land line and she can take care of business for me. ;D Oh, what a relief it is having "back up."
