The parking lot in the shopping center is worst now than ever. Not only is it filled with pot holes but now has the blacktop lifting to the point where your car would bottom out. The multiple speed bumps in a row? what is that all about? Have you ever heard of speed bumps in a parking lot where their are no door ways or pedestrians crossing?
We know the owners have money since they just purchased the center for like 4-million. So what's up guys? This topic was posted before by myself on the other dieing forum with no results in repairs.
This is getting old and the stores in the center are loosing money because people are avoiding the parking lot mess in the center. Nobody wants to drive their vehicle through this when there are allot better and newer parking lots else where.

I was trying to figure out where you were talking about when you mentioned the speed bumps. Then I realized, the back road behinds the shopping center to access Planet Fitness and the other side of the main strip.
I think the massive pot holes and the sinking sewer are more than enough to make sure no one speeds through there. What a waste of money. But I do understand. If you're coming from the parking lot by Cook's dry cleaning, and I'm coming from the road leading to the arterial, we can't see each other. Now, you and I may be cautious enough to slow down to make sure it's safe, but half the punks who use that gym speed up as fast as possible rather than be patient and realize we're all going the same way, just recognize the safety issues and rules of the road.

Swimmy,
I do agree with you on the safety issue. But I have to question the fact that there has always been business behind there. That road has always been used for a cut through by any and everyone. That is why they made that street (can't remember the name) a dead end with no access to the shopping center.
The speed bumps seem like an over kill. I would think 1-speed bump at the end of the building before the main parking lot would accomplish the same outcome instead of having four.
It amazes me that the Morris brothers (who run the shopping center) only seem to care about the Planet Fitness (owned by them) with speed bumps and a new parking lot.

I know what you mean, but before Planet Fitness went in there was not as much traffic. Since Planet Fitness made its main entrance in the back, there has been a lot of increased traffic. Can't have people speeding through there all the time like before. It might have been better to just put in some stop signs where appropriate and one speed bump where I mentioned, and to fix the pot holes.

100% agree. But I guess pulling every tooth out of my mouth with a pair of pliers would be easier and make more sense.
Shame on the Morris's for allowing the Center to become such a mess. They will have nobody to blame but themselves when the customers and stores move on to a more modern facility.

hahahaha. Duh, you're saving money by spending more on speed bumps and not stop signs. Hahahaha.
As the commercial drive developments take off, I think the shopping center will see a larger decrease in traffic.

Looks more like a practice field for the National Guard during mortar training than a damn parking lot!

If that lake in front of East Dynasty Buffet gets any larger, they're going to have to name it.

I have decided that the Whitesboro shopping center is trying to catch up with New Hartford shopping center. Tons of pot holes and a bit confusing to drive in!

I cut through there today on the way over to our Whitesboro store and didn't whether I was in a parking lot or a jousting match!

So Ralph, it seems you are the problem. If you would stop cutting through that lot, it would be in a lot better shape.

No, I think the town did it on purpose so it could waste another couple million studying why the potholes exist, what caused them, and how impossible and costly it will be to fix them and remove the wasteful speed bumps that make it worse with the potholes. All so that in the end the town officials are wealthier, the residents poorer, and the status quo intact.
