The reason for all the kids was to populate heaven ... I always thought its purpose was to gain political presence, vocations and voting power, but you may be right.

I don't think it will lead to talks of euthanasia but it damn sure should lead to some serious debate as to the protocol that determines how many embryos can be implanted, and the prerequisites for implantation.
Good thing that this nutcase is out of frozen embryos. The poor friend most likely would not be willing to donate ANOTHER MAYONIASE JAR full of semen to keep this insanity going.
I also heard the recent new that she was "obsessed with having children". Well what the hell. What doctor in their right mind would contribute to this grossly ignorant woman's delinquency and stupidity? I guess some quack that puts profit above his integrity and oath.

What are the rules on child support for donated sperm?

I can't help but think that whoever the doctor or doctors are that are responsible for helping this idiot bark out children really should be losing their license to practice medicine.

Boy Clarencebunsen, you brought out a damn good excellent point. If there isn't any laws on this act of stupidity, then our legislators should think up one very quickly. ;D

Geez Bobbbiez, there is no reason to punish the guy that donates sperm to a sperm bank. He is simply doing a service to some infertile person. In this case it may be different, but let's not put any more undue laws on the damn books, unless you are going to go after unwed mothers that put babies up for adoption for a lifetime of child support payments also. Same thing and same responsibility right? The guy just gives away a few little pollywogs, and a mother gives away a whole kid if you want to actually be quite plain and blunt.
Some people donate sperm anonymously. Hell, those guys don't even know who gets the sperm.

Yeah, but in this case the guy is the father of all 14 kids and willingly admits to it. If this woman is on any kind of Social Service you don't think he should be responsible? If the dummy allowed her to put his name on the birth certificates, I'll bet my last dollar S.S. will go after him for support, especially knowing about this now. ;D

If he allowed her to put his name on the birth certificates, he is a frigging goofy as she is, and deserves anything he gets. He was a "friend". Hell, if he donated and she was artificially inseminated, and he never even got a quick peek at that "marvelous quivering little whisker biscuit" and they charge him support, he REALLY got screwed and didn't even get his winky wet, hahaha! I have been there and gladly paid my support for all of my boys, but EIGHTEEN OF THEM??? Hell, I ain't afraid to take responsibility for my actions, but that would certainly have me looking seriously at SUICIDE!!!

Hey, get this. She's made his name public as the father so he doesn't have to be named on the birth certificates because S.S. can make him do a DNA test for all 14. What a sucker he is! With friends like her, he doesn't need any enemies. ;D

Do ya think that they will get anything out of him? If he knew what was going on, he is probably as mentally deficient as she is. In most states they can only take a certain percentage of your pay for support, whether you have one kid or 50. That law went into effect long after Balio stuck it in my ass and had me working 24/7 for my ex that quit a good job to drink, party and go to the school of commerce on grants and loans.
When I worked at the OD, I had guys that had garnishments for child support, and if I remember correctly, the most they could take was 37% or something like that.

Don't know what the correct percentage is now but it is quite high from when I got my kid's support. My nephew pays for one child and he has one more child with his second wife and the Judge didn't care about his new family and smacked him with a large support payment, medical coverage, and a trust fund for the child's college fund for the first child. Believe me, I won't argue that either because most of the time that child support doesn't come close to supporting the child in a large fashion and it should be the father's responsibility also. ;D

Hate to use that term, "I told you so," but just heard on the news this mother is being offered spots on the top talk shows. Oprah being on top of the list. I'm pretty pissed that these people, including Oprah, are falling into this wacko's game. That's exactly what she did this for and no one will make me believe otherwise. Now, all will fight over her and the biggest amount of cash will get her and give her exactly what she wants. The only consolation is that if she is on Public Assistance and she is forced to pay back every single damn penny.

After 6 months working for legal aid, I am a staunch supporter of any legislation that limits the number of children you can have to two or to an amount that you can financially afford.
I have seen where mothers have so many children they have to surrender their rights to most of them because they simply cannot afford to support the children. The disgusting part is that she is (at the time) pregnant with another child.
I have seen fathers have 11 children by 6 different mothers and not be able to afford to pay the minimum child support ($25/month) for all of his children. He can't visit with all of them in one week. His current girlfriend is pregnant with number 12.
If you live on a farm, I can understand the need for a larger family to assist with the farming. But for the rest of us, there is simply no need for that many children. Not only can the rest of us not afford 14 children, but the reason for having so many children no longer exists. Back in the day, having so many children was because of the high death rate among our young and it insured that families would survive. Also, for the longest time, America's economy was based in agriculture, the extra hands made it easier to perform all the requisite work on the farms.
In any case, after 6 months, I have come to the conclusion that the Chinese have done at least one thing right with their limits on how many children families can have. From a different perspective, what kind of life are we providing for these children? Very few of them will complete high school, may be a few will go on to college. But most of them will go on to be just like their parents, bottom feeding dead beats usurping my tax monies.

My nephew pays for one child and he has one more child with his second wife and the Judge didn't care about his new family and smacked him with a large support payment, medical coverage, and a trust fund for the child's college fund for the first child. Your nephew got screwed over. By NYS law, he is only required to support his child until the child reaches 21. It could end sooner if the mother unreasonably interferes with his ability to exercise visitation. The judge cannot order a college fund, unless your nephew agreed to such a thing. Anywhooo, the Judge's decision to ignore those other extenuating circumstances made for an easy appeal. Those other extenuating circumstances have to be considered when determining the level of support. The uniform child support formula still has to take those into consideration.

I talk with men on a regular basis who have multiple children with multiple women and are paying a whole lot of child support. I wish I could say I feel sorry for them, but I do not. If you want to have children, then you should have to pay for them. That woman in CA that just barked out another 8 kids hired a publicist. It makes me wonder, does she really love children that much that she needs to have such a large litter or is she just looking for attention? www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-octuplets3-2009feb03,0,6983653.story
