I spent a summer in the Holy Land back in 1968. It was the most existential feeling that I have ever had in my life. Bethlehem was awesome. Just being able to walk on the land where Jesus once walked---well I just cannot describe the experience. I have a few cousin's in my family who live in Israel. If I could only get over there again I would be so blessed. I'm working on it but have to overcome fear and anxiety. just dont forget the body armor seems folks over there have forgotten what jesus taught

corner, I believe it is very much in America's security interests to support free and democratic societies in the Middle East. We are well on the way to establishing a second in Iraq. I pray that Iran will follow suit soon. concerned, I wish you well in your quest to return to the Holy Land. There's something magical about a quarter-acre of land upon which the Temple of Abraham, Al Aqsa Mosque and the Church of the Ascension were all built. I think country song writer/singer Steve Earle speaks almost exactly what is in my heart and mind when I consider what is going on today in that part of the world. This is the first verse from his song titled Jerusalem. I woke up this mornin' and none of the news was good And death machines were rumblin' 'cross the ground where Jesus stood And the man on my TV told me that it had always been that way And there was nothin' anyone could do or say
And I almost listened to him Yeah, I almost lost my mind Then I regained my senses again And looked into my heart to find
That I believe that one fine day all the children of Abraham Will lay down their swords forever in Jerusalem

For those who have time, go back & re-read "The Source." It's easy to argue with the details, but I remember it giving a great representation of the "who owns this land" debate. Clarence, I went to TheSource.com and found this: Notorious lyric of the dayMe lose my touch, never that If I did, ain’t no problem to get the gat Where the true players at? Throw your Rollies in the sky Wave em side to side and keep your hands high - “Mo’ Money Mo’ Problems” The Source, , the online version of the popular Hip-hop music magazine.Seriously, did you mean the James Mitchener novel? How I hate that guy, if he was a real person. But I didn't back then. I barely remember that book, except it was the first time I ever heard of a "wadi." JM used the term over and over again without ever giving us a proper description. Does "Throw your Rollies in the sky," mean what I think it means?
