That must have been someone else he is thinking of. I was 16 in 74 and was driving and building cars by then. That was the year I did Mark Pasick's blue `67 Chevelle. We moved to Clinton in the fall of `74 and I didn't come back to North Utica until mid Winter `76.

Mike....I remember Mark Pasiak he was near the intersection of Coventry and Deerfield Dr.? Do you have a photo of his car? His cousins in the York Street Area were in the reserves with me and the girl cousins were Star Basketball players.

Yes, that is him! The blue `67 was called "The Beast".... it was written across the rear panel below the trunk in magic marker.... LOL His brother Matt had a yellow one a couple years later. Mark's car was a 327 4-speed car. It had everything but a set of gears in it! Man, I worked on that car day in and day out! I can't tell you how many girl friends I lost that year.... LOL The next one I did after that was Joe Davis' 74 Road Runner. I used to race it at Utica Rome for him too. I think it ran J/S. I don't have any pic's of either of those cars. I'll have to write Mark and see if he has any. I know there was one of it doing a flame burnout in Kennedy parking lot. That was pretty cool!

My Dads Car and my 64 Impala Taken in 1967. I had to jack up that big boat at the track and put the cheater slicks on in and change back at the end of the race.

Taken at ESTA DRAGWAY CICERO 1970-71 looks like a great hole shot but that 440 sixpack would be closing fast on my handicap lead. It looks like Dick Zupkas's car but it's not. Dick stuck close to Utica Rome maybe because of gearing or maybe other commitments. This Six Pack was sponsored by Auto Finishers of Syr if I remember right. We met in the finals frequently and usually had a photo finish at the end of the track. I won more that I lost racing him, but always a great race.

You mentioned Dick Zupkas and his 440 sixpack. Rich Zupkas is Kathy's "baby brother". We were at his house over the holidays, and he is doing fine. He recently had a knee replacement. He still has a corvette, and really cherry clean Harley Davidson motorcycle. I will have to get in touch with him and see if he has any pics to put up on here. Gee, once again, it's a small world.
