Sure ! They figure we were paying over $4 per gallon, so we can afford 10 cents per gallon!
After all, the gummamint needs our money to help the less fortunate, whoever they are.

Now with the war in Gaza against the terror group Hamas gas is beginning to rise. It will get to $4.00/gallon by March one way or another. OPEC is not going to put up with the very low price of crude/barrel.

Even money says the conflict in Gaza will be resolved by the 20th. The Israeli's know they will loose any western support they thought they had as soon as the new administration is sworn in. Also don't discount the effect the dispute between the Ukraine and Russia over natural gas payments that is cutting supplies in Europe by up to 80% in some places when it's 5 deg F. Every political/economic misstep worldwide is now an excuse to adjust the per barrel price. 30 or 40 years ago we were better insulated from the world price because we, A) pumped and refined our own and B) there was no where near the domestic demand that we have today. This is the cost of transitioning to a world economy instead of reducing our consumption and living within our means. The common thread in 90% of our posts is that no one, not government (at ANY level) or individuals seem to be able to live within thier means anymore. Everyone feels entitled to the big vacation, the updated kitchen, the bigger, better car and the $10,000 bling on the finger. To hell with stuff like food, education, family values and clean air and water. This from a Conservative that understands that with affluence comes responsibility.
