Thanks for the concern Ralph. I've been wanting to stop and see ya but things have been really hectic here with my Aunt passing away and R.J. and my medical problems, but I do wave every time I pass by. ;D Seriously, when I have gone by I haven't seen your truck there. Most of the time during the day. At night now, I'm usually in front of the boob tube or the computer with my foot elevated. Whether one was for or against the requirement, the main thing is for "ALL" to keep on the Mayor and the council members and voice our anger at what he is trying to do with the waiver he wants to sneak in. Without everyone getting involved either in person or by phone, you know it'll just slip through. Whether one is for or against the requirement you have to get involved, because it just isn't right or fair for all those who have to comply. Hope to see ya soon.

Sunshine, I was not in favor of the law, but I am in favor of those of you that live in the city going to bat for the law. I can't see any way that this issue should be allowed to slide. He is simply spitting in the eye of the voters if he pursues the right to waiver after the voters have spoken. the law was voted on AGAIN, and reaffirmed. What doesn't the mayor understand about the written law?
I favored him during the campaign against Julian, but he sure has proved to be just another politician with an agenda that is nowhere close to what he promised in his campaign. Yep, just another cog in that "machine" I talk about. Time to put away they oil cans and throw a rock or two in the gears.
This is an issue that will speak volumes in what the rest of his term in office will be like. YOU the voters of the city, are the only ones that can show him that you are not going to roll over and take any more of the bullcrap politics and patronage. Beat him on this issue, or stand by for much worse abuse.

lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Clipper! Look whose calling the kettle black. Anyone who can be heard from Tennessee to Utica, N.Y. sure isn't classified, (oops, band name. Am I in the wrong topic again? ), as having a small mouth. ;D Yep, that's why I am calling on "ALL" to get involved with this. A simple phone call to the Mayor and their council person takes no effort but does have an hugh effect on their decisions. Not much to ask for or for "All" to do. Without some involvement one can not sit at home after all is done and bitch about what our legislators do. It becomes our fault if we don't get involved in some way.

So far, Roefaro appears to be more suited to the field of mortuary science than dealing with the land of the living and the responsibilites of running a city.
Sometimes change for the sake of change is not a good thing.

Uh sunshine, you must have me mixed up with someone else. I am just a soft spoken, easy going guy. My voice is just a whisper, and my opinions ALWAYS agree with yours don't they? I must have an evil twin out there somewhere.
My whisper may get louder if I move back. Until then I will just make my "opinions" known from here, where I sit frustrated with the idea that I have no voice in the running of my hometown, other than to make my opinions known here and on the comment section of the OD. My taxes go there, but my vote is not allowed. Talk about the pains of residency, haha. I can let my money go to these crooks, but can't vote them out of office.
We have always planned on putting the house here on the market as soon as my dad passed away. Now there are economic issues to be dealt with as well as health issues for Kathy and I. Neither of us is capable any more of shoveling snow, and we both have serious back issues that cause suffering in cold and damp weather. The housing market right now makes it absolutley impossible to either sell OR buy right now with any confidence.
We are stuck in a state of flux right now with decisions hard to make, and time the only remedy to hold out for.
