Where does Strikeslip get off asking for facts, for facts, figures and logic ? strikeslip.blogspot.com/Fain would I hear lore, legend and magic. Doesn't he realize that with an army of elves and wizards, Oneida County can defeat the army of orcs and once again rule a kingdom of peace and prosperity.

Strike is right on. Hard to believe that there is no credible business plan. I mean, it really is hard to believe. I'd want to have a banker (not a crony or one who stands to gain from the project) look at what plan exists and pronounce on whether he'd lend his bank's money to such a project. If he or she wouldn't, that would speak volumes. Isn't there a state agency that is supposed to fill that role, to ensure the public good when a bunch of politicians get way out there in lala land?

Hahahaha! Yup, I left myself open for that one. But seriously, folks, sometimes you can play the state off against a locality, etc., etc.

Well, as much as I enjoy Strike's postings, he is hardly neutral in his reporting and questioning on this topic. Griffiss has a lot going for it, and I think that we will see good things coming to The Griff now that this team has taken over. Sometimes we really need to push the "good ol' boys" off to the side and let someone interested in something other than local politics do their thing.

You may be entirely correct about the airport's potential, Snickers, and I agree Strikeslip has his point of view (who hasn't?), but I think Strike's post is still valid. Is there a business plan and why isn't it public? If it's public money, it's the public's business.

I think that is why I always liked the Bank of Uica, Roger's desk (not office) overlooking the tellers. He treated every loan applicant as if they were asking to borrow his money (they were). Is he still ative in the daily affairs of the bank? I haven't been in there in years.
By the way, I should have added when I started this "Name that Tune" There's a song hidden in the initial post.
