Hey, post the website for the OF webcam. I'd love to watch the snow fall in NY from Detroit.

Thanks for the tip!
We ended up with only 2.5" here. Areas not too far south and a little bit up in elevation got slammed with over 12"

Had about 6 inches out my way, in Lee.
Not a problem. I can remember designing many a Halloween costume around a kid's snowsuit.

I remember one year when we lived in Point Rock when we were inundated with snow. We took the kids to Verona to go door to door with their cousins and grandmother. We got to Verona and it was about 15 degrees warmer and dry as a bone, with no snow on the ground.
I was always a stickler for making sure that the kids were wearing home made costumes, that allowed them to be warm, and that they wore make-up instead of masks, so that they could see, unimpaired while walking in the dark. They also carried flashlights with orange wands attached or glow sticks, so they could be seen.
For a few years, I drove a van. I would take the middle seat out, and drive slowly from house to house with the door open, but the kids slid all the way to the far side of the van, away from the door. When we were ready to leave the area, they all piled onto the remaining seats and buckled up. NEVER did I allow them to go alone or with another older child. NEVER did I allow my older boys to go out alone, or hang with those kids doing tricks and pranks. No eggs, no toilet paper, or shaving cream. It was either trick or treat with Dad or go to the party at the firehouse with Dad.
