School Athletic Director charged after confronting officerwww.wktv.com/news/local/31249379.html"Curriere was ordered to remove himself from the road and when he refused, he was taken into custody without incident. Curriere appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, police said." ### That would seem like a pretty dumb-ass thing to do, especially for a person in the public eye. And "appeared to be under the influence of alcohol," is interesting, because the officer wouldn't have administered a breathalyzer since the coach wasn't driving. So the cop could say whatever he wanted. Anyone have any G2?

I would rather have someone think I might possibly be under the influence, instead of the other alternative, which is just being an arrogant dumb ass. What was he thinking. The man with the badge will always win at least the first round. HELLO! HERE'S YOUR SIGN DUMMY!

Could be alcohol or just another case of Testosterone Poisoning, as a woman friend of mine is fond of calling it. Even an Athletic Director should keep his common sense from falling into his athletic supporter. But I shouldn't pick on the guy. I wasn't there. I've certainly run into cops with a terrible attitude. Even my favorite nephew, the cop in Massachusetts, told me of things he's done that caused me to wonder why we let some of them carry guns. (I have another favorite nephew who's a cop in New York City. But my real favorite is a niece who's a homicide detective in New York City, and a very attractive young woman, "just like in the movies." I asked her what it was like for a young woman to be a homicide detective in NY City, and she said that it was "just like in the movies, but without the low cut blouses."

Hmmm. An "athletic director" (must be how he gets paid so much more than a "gym coach") publicly drunk, disorderly and interfering with a police officer......yeah. I want THAT staggering clown as a role model for the kids in MY school!

When I was in school, we never had much interaction with the athletic director. I'd be more concerned if a coach did it. The coach is more of a direct role model than any athletic director.

West Canada Valley was a small school. The boys gym coach and the girls gym coach were equals, and there was no director. She filled the tampon machines and he sprayed for fungus and athletes feet. they both worked to maintain the swimming pool and shared duties of all sorts when it came to the athletic department.
Gee swimmy, you must have gone to NH where they have a director, an assistant director, and several other paid positions in each department. That is why the budget is so damned high in those larger schools.
I myself never understood why there was a need for an assistant principal. What the hell does the principal do while the assistant is taking care of all the principal duties and student issues, play video games on his computer?

Hahahaha, how did you know I went to nh?! Yes, we have obnoxious administrative costs in NH, and now apparently ample amounts of school money to fund a business park.

I wasn't going to mention that fact, haha. Hey I gotta get to bed. I spent the day with dad. He is still hanging on, but failing. I want to go early tomorrow and come home when my brother gets out of work and can sit with him. It gets tiring, just sitting there watching the tv with it's whole 9 channels, haha. At least when my dad was in his old room before he moved into the hospice suite, I had paid for him to have the premium cable package, haha.
He used to tell me, "don't tell anyone, but the cable is screwed up. The guy in the other bed only gets a few channels. " LOL I had to remind him that it was his birthday present for me to pay for the $60 dollar package with all the movie channels, haha. He thought he was getting over on either the nursing home or the cable company.
