Since when is something posted on YouTube news?
This article seems like an excuse for the OD to write about Destito's spending.

duh, there is absolutely NO other newsworthy stories to report on! Hence this reporting. Clarence, sorry to break the news to you, but politics is about money and who has more. The more you can spend to put your name out in the public view, the better your chances of winning the election are. It's all about name recognition and those who spend the most campaigning win the most elections. Obama outspent Hilary. All the state and local incumbents routinely outspend any opponent they face.
It's sad when the state legislature cannot pass a budget on time but can make sure they have over 300 million in their political coffers for re-election.

I certainly can't disagree with you, Swimmy. Her defence was just one of the most shove it in your face examples I've seen lately.
Clipper, I thought a review of a You-Tube ad was interesting, I only visit You-Tube when someone sends me a link that they found interesting so I would have never seen this ad. I know it's a growing trend but I have no idea how effective it is,

duh, there is absolutely NO other newsworthy stories to report on! Hence this reporting. True, Swimmy, if one's idea of news reporting is sitting in an office reading publicity releases and playing on the Internet. Evidently so, today. Your other point ... equating spending with winning ... is also accurate, unfortunately. Do you remember the "telescreen" in Orwell's 1984 that, for most of the citizens, never turned off? Not much different for most households today. I sometimes wonder what politics would be like if the radio and TV had never been invented. Newspapers aren't quite as intrusive.

But I think I'll spend some time researching this new feature on Youtube, called "Insight." www.readwriteweb.com/archives/youtube_demographics.phpYou can now get demographics for your youtube videos. What I don't know is if you can get them for others' videos. (I don't have any videos.) I suspect YouTube's audiences tend toward the young side of the population.
