Has anyone seen the movie Appaloosa, out this year? I read the novel about 2 years ago and it is was the best novel I read that year or the following. And probably the only cowboy novel I've read since I was a kid. I was in a hosptial waiting room for the day and the book was about all they had in the Gift Shop that looked interesting. I was wondering if the movie measured up to the book.

While I have not read the book. I really enjoyed the movie. My husband and I went on Monday to see it. It is a little bit choppy in spots, but very good acting. I've gone to see other Westerns and been disappointed in the ending, but this one was pretty good. My weakness of course, is Viggo Mortenson. I'll go see anything with him in it. He's one of my favorites. I didn't leave the movie theater thinking I just wasted my money!

I just realized "what" the movie was!
I have read the book a couple times, Parker is one of my favorite authors.
I guess I'll have to get the DVD when it comes out now.

I didn't leave the movie theater thinking I just wasted my money! Yes, that's the feeling I was getting when I stopped going to the movies regularly. Glad to hear it's a good flick.
