Yup, that's why they call it custodial care.
On the more serious side, I remember from the days my parents were in a home that some of the inmates could be quite nasty to each other. Fights were not unheard of. More recently, my brother spent a couple of weeks in the Rome Nursing Home, recovering from an illness. His roommate began to verbally fight with him and threatened to kill him in his sleep some night.

Sad but true -- personality changes resulting in aggressive behavior are but a few of the destructive symptoms of dementia and Alzheimer's disease. To family members, the loss of their loved ones happens long before that person's death.
