Hey Tommi! Good to see ya posting. I am busy as hell right now making funeral arrangements for my dad, who will be gone by supper time. I have spent the last few nights sleeping in a chair at his bedside, but he is without blood pressure and only breathing a shallow breath every 8 seconds or so. My brother and sister are with him ,while I picked up Kathy at the hospital. She has been in the hospital with double pneumonia while my dad has been on comfort measures only at the nursing home with hospice nurses caring for him. I been just a bit busy, LOL. Catch ya all later.

There are some places on the Internet that will help you build a resume. If you are applying for a government job many of them are found on the www.usajobs.gov site. They also have a resume builder that you can use without having to apply for a job. Hey its free, but its with the government so it "has" to be professional looking.

Ryan, unless you want a job as president of something, it's really simple.
Just TYPE out your name, address, & phone number.
List your education along with the dates.
List your work experience along with the dates. Be sure to include what your job duties were.
NEVER make your resume more than 1 page.

BUT, make sure you include a cover letter. Just state which job you're going for, why you think you'd be good at the job, & that the enclosed resume will reflect the same.

Here in Rochester we have RochesterWorks.....maybe you might have something similar where you live. Check your unemployment office. They have workshops and people that help in this matter and how to get an interview etc. They even have help to fund you for training. All this is sponsered by the NYL. You might wish to look into this. Funds are there also even if you are working but wish to get additional trainging. It is all part of the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) my site is at www.rochesterworks.org but you might check out what is there for your area.
