On the plus side, if we DO end up in a depression, perhaps kids will start playing outside again, instead of spending all their time inside watching tv and playing video games. Maybe they'll learn how to use their imaginations and build toys out of nothing.

The Greatest Generation, as Tom Brokhaw referred to my parent's generation, was very much a product of the Great Depression. Perhaps a global economic colapse will help our children to surpass my parent's achievements.
