bailout plan stuffed with porkJody Brown - OneNewsNow - 10/2/2008 "In addition to proposing $100 billion in tax relief, aid to rural schools, and an increase in the FDIC insurance cap to $250,000, the bill includes such earmarks as: $223 million for Alaskan fishermen, $192 million for rum producers in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, $128 million for auto racing -- and $6 million for producers of children's wooden arrows." www.onenewsnow.com/Politics/Default.aspx?id=273634### There's one provision that grants a $10 million credit to help employers defray the costs of storing the bicycles of their employees who commute to work! But the Housing Trust Fund gets no money, meaning that left-wing groups like ACORN won't get any funds.

It really enrages me to know that with a serious crisis such as this, and a major meltdown of the countries financial markets playing out, our elected officials still play partisan games, and still have to bribe the other party by allowing such porky crap to be attached to this important bill.
While it is probably not possible, with the number of bills presented during a single day on the floor, I would like to see HONEST handling of bills, and NO attachments allowed.
If pork has to be a fact of life, let it be lumped together in bills affecting us only at an individual state level, and not permitted to be attached to bills of national importance, defense initiatives, or federal budget issues.
If we they have to vote for a project to save the polar bears, let it be lumped with the research money to study the mating habits of the vermont tree frog, and the sex life of the common horsefly. NOT with such a bill as this critical bill now being legislated.
Politics makes me want to vomit. I can see the partisan crap being discussed among party leaders while they have the hammer to hold over the opposing party while Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi play their anti Bush game, and play with my financial future.

OK now that that is over it's time for the Schummer, Barny Frank, and Chris Dodd perp walk right down the capital steps for originating this debacle and constantly blocking any warnings and oversight changes from Republicans since 1994!
No republicans were involved. How can I tell? The dens would have had them on a rail with hearings first thing to protect themselves like they always do. This time it is only the Dem's that got large kickbacks from FredM and FanM.

I didn't know until today that Barney Frank's domestic partner during most of the 90's was an assistant director at Fannie May. Frank was on the House Banking committee.

CB, I can't pass up the opportunity to say they're all in bed with each other, one way in a figurative sense or the other, as in don't ask, don't tell, don't complain.

Follow the history of this video. It has been pulled several times for "copyright music" music commonly used on You Tube daily. This is the forth version. Watch it all the way. It's fast because he is limited to ten minutes to get everything in. The first had over a million hits when it was taken off. Six digit figures for the other versions. This the whole story.....
