Protectionism worked after the Revolutionary War when England's manufacturing cost considerably less than the American counterpart. Economically, we still owed a great deal to England until the tariff came about. I'm a little intoxicated, so I may be remembering incorrectly.

Hey Swimmy, every red blooded young american lawyer needs to decompress and get just plain shitfaced now and again, LOLOL. Like they say in that movie, "party on dude" haha.
Well, that last post of yours was last night. How is the head this morning, hehe.

The Halloween party was awesome. Super girl was amazingly super. She was sinking cups like no human girl ever has. We were on the same beer pong team. Then we made an awesome duet for karaoke. Her beautiful singing did a great job of masking my horrible voice. hahahahaha! Hopefully, when I call her later, she'll return my call.
I don't get hangovers unless I blacked out the night before. I have not drank to the point of blackout since my 21st birthday. I did not like being in that vulnerable and uncontrollable condition; once was enough for me. Last night, I knew I would be driving so I stopped drinking when I started to feel a "buzz." And left about two hours later.

LOL. I didn't think you could have drank very much, or you would not have been able to make an intelligible post. Glad ya had a good time. I would be careful of supergirl though. Those super powers could do you in, haha. After about the first 10 or 12 hours, ya might need a case of red bull and some viagra, hahaha!

You might want to address your comments re the OD to Gatehouse's News Service Panel: (from their website) "Once a month, a group of about a dozen GateHouse editors gather — via a conference call — to discuss the approaching GateHouse news service. The call, led by Director of Content David Arkin, is used as an avenue to discover what kind of content GateHouse editors most want to see as part of the news service. The group is also involved with ghnewsroom.com and has played a role in the development and direction of that project. As part of that involvement, they take part in a "editors talk" discussion once a month. Discussions range from how to get more local names in the newspaper to how to improve the content of obituaries. Those conversations are presented monthly on this Web site. If you're interested in learning more or getting involved with the panel, contact David Arkin at darkin@gatehousemedia.com " Here the current members of the News Service Panel. www.ghnewsroom.com/news.php?catid=10&subcatid=12&newsid=1178562299The woman at the top worked here locally. She was a bit of a wack, but a pretty good newswoman. By the way, you can get a look at the inside of the news side of Gatehouse at: ghnewsroom.com/You can see what they think they're doing well, page of the day, awards, job changes, etc.

We need multiple branches on a thread. 3D would be great, Clipper see what you can do.
Protectionism: The Embargo Ac of 1807 lead to an 80% drop of exports in 1 year, a succession movement in New England and utlimately to the War of 1812.

I spent many hours as a government manager, undergoing TQM(total quality management) training. I would have to say that if Donna had taken any such courses, she sure must have slept through a portion of them, or decided that she was already the "Total Sum of a Quality Manager".

This sentence is confusing: "The original charges reported against Roser --- shooting across a public highway and shooting within 500 feet of a dwelling, both misdemeanors --- are correct."
As for the confusion over whether they were or were not "shooting across a public highway," the article leaves that open to speculation. In any event, yes, lousy writing.
