House Speaker Nancy Peolosi is being blamed for the surprising defeat of the House Bill to bail out the finance markets, plunging the stock market to new lows today. Her finger-waving speech of partisanship blamed everything on Bush and the Republicans and evidently so angered conservatives that they switched their votes and let the legislation go down in defeat.
This is what your Congress is doing for you! It explains why our founding fathers gave war powers to the president, rather than wait around for the Congress to act in an emergency.

Nancy Pelosi is a horse's ass and can't let an opportunity go by to bash Bush. ONE TIME, she should keep her mouth shut, set paritsanship aside, and work to come to an agreement that will save the markets and save our economy.
I hope that although it is harmful to the process, that some of America sees that political rivalry and we win, you lose, score keeping by the democratic party is unamerican and dangerous. WHEN STUFF LIKE THIS HAPPENS, IT IS TIME FOR SNIVELING BOOBS LIKE PELOSI TO SET ASIDE THEIR ATTACK STRATEGY AND WORK FOR THE GOOD OF THE NATION.
Kerry and Gore lost their bids for the presidency. GET OVER IT! IT IS HISTORY! If they continue to attack the president, continue to attack the republican party, and continue to drag the country down with their criticism of our participation in the war on terror, they will continue to piss off the intelligent americans and alienate themselves from mainstream majority opinion. Every day I meet another Democrat that is changing his mind about the way Obama is conducting himself, and losing confidence in the party and its agenda. Every day I meet people that say "I don't know, as much as I hate to admit it, I think I will vote for McCain. "

In this area, Southeast Michigan, der Vaterlindt of big unions and government handouts there are a surprising amount of dyed-in-the-wool liberals that are quietly speaking of voting for Ron Paul. They feel that the party has left them and they need to make a statement against the status quo, but can't bring themselves to vote republican. It won't be a majority of the left voters here, but a percentage of working class blue collars that matter.
