Wow what is not good. I thought the economy was real great. 

October jobs report: US economy adds just 12,000 jobs as Boeing strike, hurricanes weigh on labor market

The US labor market added far fewer jobs than expected in October as weather disruptions and worker strikes weighed on the labor market.



Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics released Friday showed the labor market added 12,000 payrolls in October, less than the 100,000 expected by economists.



Meanwhile, the unemployment rate held steady at 4.1%, partly due to a difference in how the BLS collects data for that metric versus monthly job additions. Workers who were employed but earned no money wouldn't be counted as unemployed in the household survey, which is where the unemployment rate comes from. They would not be considered employed in the payroll survey, which is how job additions are tabulated.

Looking at the statistics showing the actual 12,000 jobs versus the expected 100,000, are we to believe the 'experts', the prophets, prognosticators, predicters, visionaries and alleged oracles? How many times do we hear these so-called experts predict who will win the World Series, Super Bowl, political office, horse race, or any of the other multitude of events, only to find that they're wrong? These people are either wannabe psychics, or they have their heads up their tushes. And when the results are in they either pat themselves on the back when they're right, or make excuses when they're wrong. They're not only the folks you see on TV, or hear on the radio, or read about in the written word... they're almost everybody.
I wish I was psychic, but I'm not. My preference is to wait until the game is played to see who wins.

Well, the Boeing strike may end Monday when workers vote on a new contract. As far as economists, they're not in the businres of predicting hurricans like the two that hammered the southeast recently. Even weather experts were taken by surprise with the devastation that the storms caused.

The U.S. economy is the envy of the countries the world over despite the brainwashing that's going on, thanx to you know who & his lackeys convincing people that our economy is in the dumpster.

We will have to wait and see what the thanksgiving and christmas deals are in order to determine how the economy will treat these two events.

I hear Aldi is offering a deal for Thanksgiving serving a family of four just $20.00. No idea how they do it and maybe I heard wrong about the price.

If Trump wins he'll run the economy into the ground with his tarriff proposals which is another tax on consumers, his threats to the CHIPS Act, repealing the ACA, & his threats to SS & Medicare. His lackey Elon Musk who's the richest person on the planet will be put in charge of slashing funds for programs that assist the poor & middle class as he rakes in billions of $$$ in federal contracts. He just had the unmitigated gall to warn of coming "hardships" which is code word for the middle class & the poor to get ready for a screw job at the hands of Trump & his toadies like Musk himself.

Somebody has to pay for another tax cut for people like Musk & Trump's billionaire oligarch buddies. That somebody is people like us.

I'm frightened either way as to whether Trump wins or loses the election. He said he will not concede if he loses and then there is possibility of another attack on Washing DC. I read there might be a tie in the Electoral College and while a plan is in effect for politicians to vote how that works is a nightmare. The evening after and day after election day should prove interesting. I read where Musk said to get ready to tighten our belts as the the coming hardships and I am positive it will be on the backs of the poor and middle class. What will happen is only days ahead! How will American respond! Will America survive! Will our military be pro Harris or pro Thump and take orders only from a Harris government. Will we have coop d'etat. ??!!!!!! Will the White House be sacked, looted and burnt to the ground??!!!! Who knows?!!!! We may be in need of fallout shelters.

There is no reason for any special plan, the procedure for resolve a tie in the electoral college is in the constitution. It has only been used once, in 1800. The election would go to the newly elected House when they meet in January. The House delegation from each state gets one vote. If that vote results a tie they do it again as many times as necessary.

Don't be frightened. Trump has a big mouth & that's all he has. The system worked in 2020 with his coup attempt & it will work again despite his lies & threats. There's no doubt that if he loses he'll claim it was rigged. He said the same thing back in 2016 but he shut his yap when he beat Clinton.

This Country hopefully has had enough of him going back to 2016 with his bullying, his lies, his threats & all the rest of it. The guy is a sociopath & deserves to be dumped on the garbage heap of history. Enough is enough.

Btw, the only reason Trump is running is to avoid prison where he belongs.
