www.wjhl.com/news/local/medical-expert-analyzes-ballads-one-star-cms-ratings/Ballad Health can say what they want to cover their ass, but I think I have mentioned before how care has declined since the merger of Mountain States and Wellmont, forming Ballad Health. I thank the good Lord that I have the VA hospital to fall back on. Have CMS ratings been made public for Winn Hospital yet?

I've had better days. Today I had my first appoint with Dr. Berg, my new cardiologist. He scanned my chest with his Medtronic tablet, frowned and sent me to X-ray. The X-rays haven't installed at their new downtown building, so we went over to the old Faxton hospital for the X-rays. We got in and out very quickly at X-ray and headed back downtown.
The parking downtown is still under construction, but we lucked out and found a spot on Columbia just 2 parking spots from the intersection with State St., right by the front door.
The X-rays showed that one lead was slightly out of position which would shorten battery life, so I have another surgery scheduled to put it in the correct location.
As Barb was pulling out of parking spot, she was hit by a woman driving a pickup turning left from State onto Columbia damaging the same door and fender which were hit by a deer a few months ago. No one was injured but another hassle with insurance and car repairs.

When it rains it pours. Sorry for the problem with the pacemaker. Is it a minimally invasive procedure to re-position the lead? Also sorry to hear about the accident, but glad to hear that nobody was injured. It is just a pain in the rear process to have to be without your vehicle while it is repaired and a financial kick in the butt if you have to pay a deductible to have it repaired.

Well, they don't need to create a pocket for the device this time. They will need to run a tool through the artery to move the lead.

Praying for a quick and easy procedure. I hope today is a bit better than yesterday was.
