When Kathy died I closed the door to her room after the funeral home picked her up. The room was a disaster area with laundry and stuff piled 2 feet deep on her sewing table and dresser and things piled in boxes and bags all over the room. Cpap supplies, oxygen supplies, bed pads, nebulizer supplies and medication, and other miscellaneous stuff. I just couldn't bring myself to go in there and straighten it up.
Today I finally felt ready to open the door and clean her room. I stripped both her bed and mine, put clean linen on her bed and made it up. I packed some more of her clothing, mostly pajamas, robes, and collected the plastic basins from the hospital that she had brought home from several hospitalizations, filled with all the bottles of shampoo, and assorted hair brushes, packages of wipes, and all of her beauty products that she had with her in the hospital. It all went into a bag to be delivered to the women's shelter at Haven of Rest.
Now for the dreaded trip to Walmart. I have been shopping there more frequently but still dread going into the zoo. Today's visit will include buying a Swiffer wet jet, a wax applicator, Mop and Glow, and a package of Dixie's good sturdy paper plates, dryer sheets and a case of water.

didn't I am doing better but there are still times when something I see or remember brings tears. I just try to stay busy. I got so bored the other night that I went to Bingo with our friend and her sister. I didn't find that relaxing at all. haha. I guess you have to enjoy eye strain and stress, scanning and dobbing at several sheets of paper at the same time. lol

I agree, I don't find bingo relaxing at all. My brain just doesn't process as quickly anymore. Hopefully, support from friends including the ones you have here, can help.

LOL Bingo is not my cup of tea. They have bingo once a week where I live and they get about 20 people or more but I cannot stand the game. It is certainly NOT relaxing.

The last time I played Bingo was up on Oneida Sq. where I think DeSales Church ran the con, er game. I managed to make an ass of of myself when I called Bingo! when I didn't have it. I almost got laughed out of the place. I waited till the rest of that round, tossed the rest of my cards in the trash & headed for the exit. Plus, the cigarette smoke was so thick you could barely see your hand in front of your face & I was a smoker.

A friend of mine who is a Priest for the Diocese of Boston and his Mom owned a three story apartment house. The first two floors were all Bingo Parlors and she rakes in a bundle. I could not believe the number of people who showed up the weekend I was there. Mario her son would tell me the Pastor of the Parish was angry with her for taking a cut into his Church sponsored Bingo gaming. PS: Do not EVER yell BINGO if you do NOT have it.
