I cooked two eggs in a Correlle ware bowl. I folded a paper towel and buttered the bowl lightly, cracked two eggs into the bowl and popped it in the air fryer. I also put 3 little frozen Jimmy Dean sausage patties on a paper plate and put them in the air fryer at the same time. Popped the air fryer on for 5 minutes at 370 degrees. While the eggs and sausage cooked I put two slices of brioche bread in the toaster and hit the button on the Keurig. 5 or 6 minutes later I had a complete breakfast hot and ready to eat and no pan to wash. I just wiped out the bowl with a paper towel and popped it in the dishwasher.
Kathy didn't care for cooking in the air fryer but it will get a workout now. I love veggies tossed with a little oil, seasoned, and air fried. I also love steaks and other meats and poultry cooked in the air fryer. I hate scrubbing and washing pots and pans. I can bake a potato, roast some veggies, and cook a steak with no more cleanup than to throw away a foil pan from the veggies.
I really miss Kathy's cooking, but I can cook and manage to get it done and edible. I REALLY miss her baking. She was an excellent baker and loved nothing more than baking pies, cakes, cookies, and breads. I have her recipe boxes and cookbooks so I will have to learn to bake. In the mean time Pillsbury makes chocolate chip cookie dough that comes in rolls in the refrigerated section with the biscuits and cinnamon rolls.
