I don't blame you. Paint and stain prices are unreal. My grass got out of control during Kathy's final days and while I was in NY for her burial. I managed to get the back yard mowed one afternoon a few days ago but we are looking at high probability of afternoon showers and thunderstorms again today. The humidity is terrible. I stood at the gate while the dog was out to do her business yesterday afternoon and was sweating just standing there. I hope that the entire summer is not going to be stifling hot and humid. I love my outdoor time and working around the yard but I can't take the sweltering heat.

Same here. We're headed to a friends camp today for an overnight on Fish creek & it's already 80* & humid as hell. I was packing some stuff & broke a sweat in no time. The heat up here is supposed to break on Monday. We ran the a.c. yesterday from 10 a.m. till 9 pm. I can't wait to get this month's NG bill.

Well at least the Farmers Almanac was right when it said a hot, damp and very humid summer I expect August to be a killer. We had two days when dew point was over 70 which is really tropical. If that continues we should have no problem growing coconuts and spanish moss.

I guess with Kathy being sick and all the hospitalizations between the second week of December and finally caring for her at home much of the summer weather has already passed. Time has flown by and while I am complaining about the heat and humidity, I guess the problem will resolve itself soon. September will be upon us and the weather and temperatures will begin to moderate as fall comes upon us. Schools start again here next week. I will be glad to see the temperatures in the 70s and low 80s so I can catch up on all that got so out of control with Kathy's final weeks and her death and the services and burial in NY.
