We had 97 degrees yesterday afternoon. I don't know what the heat index was but the air was so heavy that it was hard to breathe. I went out this morning and mowed part of the lawn and the area across the road along the creek. It is in the 80's already and expected to hit ninety before noon. The humidity this morning left me sweaty and sticky just riding the lawn mower with a bandana tied around my forehead.

Well take it easy in these hot temps. I got up early today since I had lab work that had to be done plus yesterday afternoon I get a call from fraud control of BANK of Utica. Someone attempted to access my debit card . They told me that since no money was withdrawn it means someone was testing however they get my number. Anyway the Bank deactivated my card and I had to go to Bank this morning to pick up my new card. I had each stop planned so I could get the 1:30PM Bus back to New York Mills and go to Walmart New Hartford. Decided it is easier to walk to the Hotel Utica ( forgot its new name) to get the Bus there. CENTRO REMOVED THE BUS STOP AT THAT LOCATION. Now my plans just might get messed up. The nearest Bus stop was at the side of Wynn Hospital so I walked very fast down LaFayette St to the Bus shelter on Columbia St. It was 1:27 and Bus leaves Hub at 1:30. I made it and my legs were killing me since I am not doing the same walking I did when I lived on Bleecker St. Thankfully I get to Bus shelter fast enough to get the Bus. Standing there I see the Bus approaching. Well what do ya know the Bus driver apparently did not see my and drove past me. Plans now all messed up. So I walked up LaFayette St to Genesee St. Then to Hub and waited for the 2:30 PM NYM Buss, exhausted. I was wearing a bright red and yellow trim T shirt how could she NOT see me!!!!! Well anyway in anger I let out a few swear words!!!!! Hope the good Lord forgives that and at least gets a little laugh over this crazy day. Oh did I mention I dropped the little cup that I was given to pee in at Slocum after I filled it and it landed on my sneaker. Which is had a mesh top. !!!!!!!!!!!

Beats snowblowing with the snow blowing back in your face, bundling up just to go outside to warm your car up when it's 20 below zero out or making NG richer when the furnace runs all day not to mention grey skies for days & days on end.
I'll take all the heat advisory's they can throw at me.

It was 96 today. Tied the record for this date. Heat index was 105. I mowed for a while this morning and hibernated in the AC the rest of the day. We didn't even cook today. Ham sandwiches for lunch and I ordered bake manicotti from our favorite Italian place, picked it up and brought it home. It was too hot for Kathy to be going out anywhere.

Heat comes right up into my apartments.

We didn't cook yesterday either. It was homemade mixed cold cuts for dinner. Not sure about today. The outdoor thermometer right now says 94* & I'm loving it. I have to water our potted Basil etc that live on our deck & I hope it rains so I don't have to water the garden. Also need to fill the bird feeders & birdbath.

We are getting tornado alerts and we have a warning until 10PM for my area. Apparently there was rotation 9 miles north of New Hartford.
Heat index is very high so feels like 97 degrees.
