I saw him play twice:
1947 - Minor League game in Milwaukee WI. We had just moved to Milwaukee and my father took me to my first Baseball game. Mays was playing for the Minneapolis Millers and my father was a baseball fan and a Minnesota native. I remember the excitement but I don't remember the game at all. That was his last minor league game before being called up to the majors.
1965 - Major League All Star Game in Minneapolis. Last baseball game I saw with my father. Mays was nearing the end of his career but still.great. I was a Minnesota Twins and Harmon Killebrew fan.

Correction: 1947 should have read 1951 I was wondering about that....even in 1951 I was not aware of most of the outside world around me.
