It was 93 here yesterday and going to be that hot or hotter today. Kathy is still in the hospital so I will be hiding out in the air conditioned hospital room most of the day.

Last night broke the record for the warmest June night ever recorded in Utica. I don't even want to think about this summer's electric bills.

My AC has been on high set at 71 degrees since this damn heat wave started and it is still hot in my apartment. Apparently whomever built this place and the corporation that owns it do not believe in insulation. I have heat pouring through my picture window in living room and even the outside walls are hot no difference in the bedroom which has a simi picture window. It wasn't this way when I lived at Marino in Utica run by MHA.

It wasn't this way when I lived at Marino in Utica run by MHA. We close our blinds for most of the day when it's hot like this to block the sun. Makes a big diference. Once the sun goes down th a.c. is turned off & we rely on fans with the windows open to cool things off. No sense feeding NG anymore then we already do. |
