In terms of horrible I bought a package of frozen falafel that was absolutely delicious. Huge problem is I cannot remember where I bought it. I tried Hannaford 2 places and Walmart NH today with no result.
The troubling thing is I called Slocum Dickson to find out what the hold up was for my appointment for the PET CAT Scan I need for follow up possible diagnosis for the cancer in right lower lobe. Found out that Humanna has not got back to them with an ok for them to pay for the service. If it is cancer I am thinking of suing my Primary Care Doc. He has in my history that I smoked for 30 years and a 2 pack per day smoker at that. I have to call Brindisi. Maybe I can become a millionaire and buy a house back in Missouri. Or Tennessee next to Clipper and Kathy. I can smell the homemade pastries!!!!

My Dr referred me there a couple years ago. My first scan showed a couple lung nodules & I've had three scans since then. The last one last week showed that the nodule looks benign & hasen't changed from a year ago. My next CT is in a year. Your Dr should have referred you to that program because you should qualify. I had all my scans done at Faxton & was in & out of there in less then an hour. Best of luck. |

I do the MVHS lung cancer screening also. I did it once a year until they found a cancerous nodule in 2022. The PET scan proved it. I had surgery to remove it and now I have the CT scan every 6 months. So far, so good. No new nodules. Like BHU, I also suggest that Pizzameister get involved in it as well.

I get a CAT scan of my lungs and a pulmonary function test annually at the VA as a result of having taken Amiodarone for years to control my heart rate after having and ablation procedure to correct Afib. They finally took me off of it and prescribed a different drug that didn't have the risk of lung and liver damage. Amiodarone caused me to have occasional hand tremors and dizziness or light headedness for a period of a couple hours after taking it in the morning.
I believe anyone that was EVER a heavy smoker should have a scan at least once a year. I smoked heavily for over 40 yrs. My late brother in-law that just passed away recently never smoked so much as a single cigarette in his entire life. In January of 2023 they found a nodule on one of his lungs. They said they would look at it again in 3 months. 3 months later he was ravaged by stage 4 cancer that had spread to his brain, his liver, as well as his lungs and lymph nodes. A year later he is gone.

LOL my health insurance will not allow payment for PET CT SCAN and to tell ya the truth nor do I. When this alert to health and cancer came out back in 2007 after a CT Scan I had a biopsy which proved the nodules were not cancerous but instead indicated sarcoidosis. As far as I am concerned and I like to save insurance money just do the damn biopsy. It was easy got some very nice rides while still in bed from room to Scan area and back again then had some very nice rides to xray to do 4 follow ups for collapsed lung. Plus a cup of 7 up. What more can ya want. Oh yes a free ride home was thrown in but I told them to just drop me off at Walmart but nope they had to follow Doctors orders so I had to just get there as soon as I got home. I was supposed to rest and had no idea why.....

Note received via online message from my Doc and she had a fit this was not approved and has argued strongly for this PET CT Scan. So I will have to see what happens. Why a simple easy biopsy cannot be done is beyond my comprehension.

If you have a cell phone get the Fetch app, then all your scanned copies will be there and you can check receipts to get the info you need. If you dont already have it then let me use you as a referral first. After accumulating points of 10,000 you get a $10.00 gift card from most stores or restaurants. I would need your cell # to text or email you and when you scan your first receipt. We both get points. I used mine today cause I needed to find info on a shredder I bought last June for my warranty. |

I have to call Safelink to set up the new smartphone they sent me cause my current phone is causing all kinds of problems. They can switch my account and benefits to the new smartphone. I just hope the SIM card that was placed in the new one is the correct cause if I remember Safelink uses tracfone but now uses Verizon. Now that the ACP is ending and I will not get the $30.00 discount so I will lose internet and some phone usage. I'm not a believer in this cell phone technology and refuse to pay phone bills over a certain amount like $15/month.or buy a phone

I was looking for a new Straightalk phone in WM & that's what I was told by an associate in the store. TracFone owned Straightalk, now also owned by Verizon. I have a tracphone. Since maybe 2017, so havent had a bill since then. I use my wifi for data when home. I only turn it on out if i need to. So add data only when need to. You can buy a 1GB data card for 10.00. I have unlimited text and minutes. Works for me as I only use the phone when needed if driving and need to call for help. I think it uses ATT in my area.

Sounds familiar Chris. My Iphone is on my son's plan so it doesn't cost me anything and I have access to everything including Netflix and Hulu. People often ask me if I got their text of message. Nope! When I go out I might turn it on but normally it is turned off and sitting on top of my desk. I seldom use it for anything except to make a call home or something while out. When I go to an appointment I have all the same ability with my Ipad so I watch a movie on my Ipad while waiting in waiting rooms. |
