Breezy and cool here today. 53 degrees and falling into the 40s as the day goes on.
It was a nice day yesterday until about 7pm. We had severe weather watches and warnings until 2am today. Chances of golf ball sized hail, 60mph winds, and possible tornados.
We ended up with some pretty brisk winds, but not damaging speed, and it rained most of the night. No hail and the severe weather stayed to our West, moving Northeasterly along the Kentucky/ Virginia border, leaving us with just the fringe rain and breezes.
It always makes for an interesting evening when they keep interrupting regular programming with constant weather tracking updates I guess there was some tornadic activity reported in Eastern Kentucky and some pretty severe rain and hail in parts of Southwestern Virginia, along the Kentucky border. There was a tornado in middle and western Tennessee around Nashville and West.
Once again we dodged the severe weather and watched it pass to our West. Always nerve wracking to divide our time between regular programming on the TV and the NOAA weather radio.

Take care and stay safe. When I lived in midwest we also had tornado reports etc. I do not like them. My classmates and I took a vacation in Kansas during tornado weather season but nothing was expected according to them. Bob was a Army vet and Tom all Marine. I was a scared boy scout. Driving back the clouds were black and heavy looking which I did not like. I said to them why are we here. I was told to keep quiet.

We have 38* on the outside thermometer & rain right now but the winds have subsided. Got a bit chilly here at the ranch because of a power outage which occured about 2 O'clock & was restored a little after 5.
Looks like there will be no improvement in the weather unti Sunday.
