Happy Easter Chris. Enjoy your day. We are staying home today and Kathy is going to make perogi which will be sauteed with onion and accompanied by Hap's kielbasa. We just don't feel like fighting the crowds to eat out today. It is a partly sunny day with the temperature rising to 75 by noon. A great and peaceful day to leisurely work around the yard, out of Kathy's way while she cooks. We have to enjoy the next two days in the mid to upper seventies before a front moves through and leaves us back with daytime temps in the low 50s and high 40s. It is a crazy spring.

I was home too. I bought a spiral sliced ham from Aldi. I have no complaints. I use to mortgage my house buying one from Wegmans but with price of food going up I try to save where I can. If you have a Aldi you should try it. polish food..just breakfast. Hardboiled eggs with horseradish and beets and babkaβ¦forgot to take out some kielbasa out of the freezer. No cassatta this year.

I need to make a trip to Aldi's for a spiral ham. I looked at hams at Kroger's the other day. A half of a bone in ham was anywhere from 35 to 55 or 60 bucks. I looked at one that was 57 dollars. Those little football shaped boneless hams are 25 or 30 bucks. Forget it. No way will I pay that price for a pig's butt cheek, lol.

And tomorrow is Orthodox Easter. Very late this year. Usually two weeks behind us. All the rest of us can celebrate Cinco de Mayo. π¦π΅πΊ

I made a small leg of lamb roast that cost me $15.97 for a little over one pound which is plenty for me I actually got two meals out of it. I also boiled three small purple potatoes that I asked if Hannaford could bring them in and they did. The purple in those potatoes are a proven resistor of bowel cancer. Happy Orthodox Easter.
I can't eat ham because of the sodium content which screws up my blood pressure and increases the swollen feet and ankles problem.....always something to worry about....

With this weather it feels like Thanksgiving. It's like 50* here, cloudy & rainy.
