My goodness. I was just making an appointment with the VA hearing aid clinic to have one of my hearing aids serviced. I looked at the calendar and noticed either Kathy or myself have doctor's appointments scheduled for every afternoon this week and I made an appointment for a week from today at the hearing aid clinic.
It is probably my imagination but it seems weird to have one hearing aid volume cranked up and the other not working at all.

I never worry about hearing the TV since Barb always pumps up the volume even though she has hearing aids.

Kathy pumps up the volume. She doesn't wear hearing aids and swears that she hears just fine. We have a surround sound home theater system. When she cranks that thing I have to turn my hearing aids down or shut them off. If she cranks it way up the assault on my ear drums comes at me in stereo from 4 wall mounted speakers as well as a bass speaker.

We discontinued using our surround sound system several years ago. I don't even know if our current TV has an audio output jack. I suppose I could make it a project for our grandkids so they could play their Xbox games with the best sound effects.

We were a bit disappointed to find that most broadcast tv isn't broadcast in stereo or whatever so we only get surround sound with certain movies and programs. With Netflix and Hulu or the disc player it works great.
She has always wanted one so I bought it for her for Christmas. We have a fairly small living room so I am not impressed with the ability to discern which speaker the sound is actually coming out of at any given time.
She however likes it so I am glad I got it for her.
