Watched The Holdovers last night. Excellent movie.trying to catch up on my movies before subscriptions run out. Is anyone planning on watching the Oscars tomorrow

I will sit entertaining myself on another electronic device while Barb watches the Oscars. I am interested in which movies win awards but the awards show has always bored me. I think I am going to see Dune with my daughter and grandkids this week. Some movies need the big screen effect, I think that will be one.

I tried to watch the original when it came out but just couldn't get into it.. The Oscars are not what they used to be. I stopped watching Jimmy Kimmel once he started bashing Trump. Thats not entertainment to me. And now he’ll be hosting the Oscars again and from what I saw on CBS Sunday Morning most likely wont be different. I wish the Actors would keep their political views to themselves. |

I have never watched the Oscars. Well I did view once many many years but but I would rather watch a something like Blue Bloods, Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, Chicago PD especially when they do a crossover. Also FBI series and Zeeko Zaki is a great actor. Only movie I watched about 7 time is Casablanca it is excellent.

I enjoy watching anything Dick Wolf, especially all of the Chicago things.
It is tough bringing any of the Dune books to movie. I enjoyed the books when they first came out. Massively detailed with (for the time) cutting edge ecological thinking. I thought the special effects in the current movie were great but I think someone who is not familiar with the books might have trouble keeping up with the story line.
