We have not looked into that yet which I guess we should. Barb is 5 years younger than I am and women typically live longer than men but it is not really fair of me to just leave it up to her. We have yet to make any actual formal funeral arrangements but we did purchase our graves and headstone. My oldest son knows of all our wishes and should I die first he has promised to walk Kathy through the whole process of getting me embalmed and shipped to Heintz on Herkimer Rd. We visit our graves whenever we are in town and putting flowers on her parents graves. Kathy's entire family is buried there. It is in the little cemetery on French Road between Kirkland and Clark Mills. I have always jokingly told Kathy that if she went first I was going to prop her up in the passenger seat, put a ball cap and sunglasses on her and bring her home to Utica because she is deathly afraid to fly. Her favorite color is purple so I am keeping an eye out for a nice purple baseball cap for her to wear with the Stevie Wonder style sunglasses we received when we had our cataracts removed.

A relative of our passed on 3-4 years ago & the OD charged over $800.00 to run an obituary for ONE day. And it had to be paid upfront over the phone using a bank card. Highway robbery.
That was another reason for me to cancel my subscription.
The cemetary plot was $2200.00. The services, headstone, plot ending up costing close to $12,000.
