my desk top is sick and going to the doctor to be made well again.
I am not a big fan of trying to post on my Ipad so I may not be on here very often until I get the hard drive replaced and get the computer back.

I'm also having issues with my desktop. Runs slow at times, screen turns goes black randomly for a few seconds then comes back on. But, it's 5 years old. I went on Best Buy's website today to look & got sticker shock..... Yep, the hits just keep on coming. I heard the other day that Mayor Galime wants a Utica tax increase of 17.9%! Maybe I'll start a thread on it & rant.  |

Maybe I'll start a thread on it & rant. City of Utica spent big bucks on things it didn't need and no one wanted for 12 years. Now it's going to come back to haunt us.  |

I still want a Planetarium on the Parkway. Even a nice large Biodome. Combine those ideas along with a building large enough with apartments and condos.I gotta win the mega millions.

Guys try Avast Cleanup. It is pricey but you can get around that. It has done a fantastic job of keeping my middle aged laptop running very smoothly. My laptop is near 20 years old a Toshiba. I did buy a new one for Christmas had to gift myself. Haven't used it yet cause there is no place to hardwire it into the internet through my router. I guess I have to get wifi back again from Spectrum.

I think they were sending me adware to try & bait me into upgrading my service for a fee. It's a terrinle outfit imho. |

There are rumors going around that Palmieri left the city in terrible shape financially & the tax increase is neccessary because of it. So once again Utica homeowners & businesses will take it on the chin & up another orifice. |

Maybe I'll start a thread on it & rant. Check with you local Best Buy and ask them if they have any "open box" computers in stock. The last two computers I bought were open box from Best Buy. They are computers that have been brought back to new condition, 100% checked out and repaired if necessary, and sold for a deep discount. I saved over $100 on the last Acer computer I bought from them. |

My router is plugged into my phoneline and all my devices work off that. |

Just stopped at ours to pick up some Eclipse solar glasses. Just hoping its not cloudy that day. (Mark your calendars. 4/8/24). I dont think ill be around for the next one. |

My router is plugged into my phoneline and all my devices work off that. I can connect to the internet on my tablet but I just don't like typing on the touch pad keyboard. I also don't like texting on my phone. That is even more aggravating with big fingers and keyboard on the phone. I am just used to breezing along, typing with all my fingers on a standard size keyboard. I find trying to type a message using just my two thumbs a bit awkward and slow. |

I've actually looked on Amazon for reconditioned desktops but they're all Win10 which will be unsupported I think sometime this year. I have a reconditioned Fire tablet that I've been using for 6 months without an issue, so I have no problem with open box or reconditoned especially with the price of new. Any issues with your Acer? |
