Calls to strike Iran grow in US after 3 troops killed in Jordan
By LAZAR BERMAN FOLLOW Today, 8:48 pm 4 Republican calls grow in the US for a direct strike on Iran after three US troops were killed in Jordan. GOP Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas says: “The only answer to these attacks must be devastating military retaliation against Iran’s terrorist forces, both in Iran and across the Middle East. Anything less will confirm Joe Biden as a coward unworthy of being commander-in-chief.” “Target Tehran,” John Cornyn of Texas writes on X, formerly Twitter, while South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham writes, “Hit Iran now. Hit them hard.” In addition, Former NATO commander and 2004 Democratic presidential candidate Wesley Clark calls for Biden to “take out their capabilities and strike hard at the source: Iran.” www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/republican-calls-to-strike-iran-grow-after-3-troops-killed-in-jordan/Lets hope our government leaders keep their heads on and not end up declaring war......

First on CNN: Three US troops killed in drone attack in Jordan, more than 30 injured Natasha Bertrand Oren Liebermann By Haley Britzky, Natasha Bertrand and Oren Liebermann, CNN 5 minute read Updated 2:45 PM EST, Sun January 28, 2024 Highlights US Central Command confirmed in a statement on Sunday that three service members were killed and 25 injured in a one-way drone attack that “impacted at a base in northeast Jordan.” Two US officials told CNN the drone hit in the vicinity of living quarters on base, and that three the injured service members were medically evacuated from the area. The number of wounded is expected to rise. President Joe Biden vowed on Sunday to hold those responsible for the attack “to account,” saying that while facts are still being gathered, “We know it was carried out by radical Iran-backed militant groups operating in Syria and Iraq.” The Biden administration has been criticized, primarily by Republicans, for not taking strong enough action against the Iran-backed groups for their attacks. In a statement on Sunday following the news of the three Americans killed, Sen. Lindsey Graham said the Biden administration’s “policy of deterrence against Iran has failed miserably.” “The Biden Administration can take out all the Iranian proxies they like, but it will not deter Iranian aggression. I am calling on the Biden Administration to strike targets of significance inside Iran, not only as reprisal for the killing of our forces, but as deterrence against future aggression,” Graham said. Sen. Roger Wicker, the highest-ranking Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, also called Sunday for a response “directly against Iranian targets and its leadership.” And House Armed Services Chairman Mike Rogers said it is “long past time for President Biden to finally hold the terrorist Iranian regime and their extremist proxies accountable.” www.cnn.com/2024/01/28/politics/us-troops-drone-attack-jordan/index.html

I hope Biden and the Generals in military keep their heads in check as they decide how to seek vengeance against Iran. Yes good old fashioned vengeance could spark WW3. In other words Sweden just increased the age of those needed to fight a war with Russia. All men under the age of 60 years. I'm safe again.......

Send the president over there. He is the one that lifted all the sanctions, releases billions that are probably used to finance these attacks. Maybe seeing as how he has been so good to the Iranians he will be able to just talk them into "playing nice."

The Iran based terrorist group that did this said it will no longer target USA troops. Hope that satisfies our Washington DC leaders and others involved in what decision will be made.
