Brrrr!

Another frigid day today. I woke up to 8 degrees. I guess it is going to be in the mid 20s to low 30s later. Starting tomorrow it will begin to warm and will be back in the 50s and possible the low 60s by Wednesday or Thursday.
I can keep the shop comfortably warm when it is in the 30's, but when it drops into the 20's the wood stove struggles to keep it warm in the front part of the shop near the overhead doors. If the wind isn't blowing from the front side of the garage I can work in a flannel shirt but it is not toasty and warm.
I hope it stays warm long enough for the 5 inches or so of snow to disappear for the dog's sake.

Clipper, this might be a good time to break out the table fan you used in the summer to keep cool. Place it next to the wood stove pointing towards the overhead doors. On 'Low' it should slowly direct the heat into the chilly area. Just a thought.

I do use a table fan on low but it doesn't move enough air. What is really needed is to put foil backed foam insulation on the overhead door panels and build an insulated partition between the two stalls. With Kathy's health issues and balance problems if she doesn't use her walker I don't leave her alone in the house for any extended periods of time. If I have to go shopping or on Tuesdays when I bowl I get her all set up in the living room with her bedside commode so she can stay on the couch for the three hours until I get back. I am waiting for her to become strong enough to be able to navigate the entire house without getting overly winded before I will be comfortable leaving her alone.
